Maria Alegría: Gratitude in Every Visit

Maria Alegria moved from the San Fernando Valley to Los Angeles, and one of her priorities was finding a healthcare center where she could feel confident in the care she received, especially as she focused more on her health at 51. A friend who was already a patient at Gracelight Community Health recommended she give it a try, telling her the staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive.

Maria decided to make an appointment, and from the moment she walked in, she knew her friend was right. “It was just how she described it,” Maria shared. “My first visit was excellent. I left happy knowing this was the place for me.”

Since then, Maria has continued her care at Gracelight, where her primary provider Dr. Ming has helped her get her health on track. After identifying issues with her throat and lungs, Dr. Ming prescribed a treatment plan that made a noticeable difference. “I’m doing great now,” Maria said, “and I’m thankful he figured out what was going on.” She describes her experience with the clinic as 100 percent satisfying. But for Maria, it’s not just about the treatment, it’s about the people. “The medical assistant and staff always welcome me like family,” she said. “They remember my name. That means a lot to me.” Gracelight, she says, “feels like a second home.”

Grateful for the care she’s received, Maria is proud to recommend the clinic to others, knowing they’ll be met with the same warmth and quality. When asked to sum up her experience at Gracelight, Maria chose three words: Appreciative, Satisfaction, and a Blessing.
