After 14 years as a patient at Gracelight Community Health, Krishan S. says the clinic has become more than just a place for care. It feels like home. Now 52, Krishan moved to the United States from India at the age of 32. A quiet reader at heart, he finds peace in books and joy in learning new things. That same sense of calm and connection is what he found at Gracelight.
His journey began after relocating from Burbank to South Pasadena. In search of a clinic where he would feel welcomed, Krishan asked a neighbor for recommendations. They spoke highly of Gracelight, describing its compassionate care and friendly staff. Encouraged by what he heard, he scheduled a visit. From that first appointment, he knew he had found the right place.
“The staff made me feel comfortable right away,” Krishan recalls. “They don’t just treat you like a patient; they treat you like family.”
What started as a simple visit quickly grew into something deeper. Even after moving to Alhambra, Krishan continued traveling to Eagle Rock for his appointments. The distance never bothered him because the care and kindness made every trip worth it. Over time, his trust in Gracelight grew stronger. He even brought his wife, Swaranjit, and other family members to the clinic so they could experience the same care he had found.
What he values most is the environment. Every visit feels calm, welcoming, and full of genuine warmth. “Every time I walk in, I know I’ll be greeted with kindness,” he says. “The doctors and staff care, and that makes all the difference.”
Gracelight, to Krishan, is not just a clinic. It’s a place where he feels respected, understood, and supported — a place that truly feels like home.
