Evelyn Pulido didn’t just want another job. She was looking for a place where she could grow, feel supported, and make a difference. Now a few months into her role as a medical assistant at our Westlake North clinic, she is settling in and already thinking about what comes next.
Born into a family of ten siblings, Evelyn was raised in a household that valued opportunity and perseverance. Her family moved to the United States to build a better life for their children, and that motivation continues to shape her work ethic today. While browsing job opportunities online, Evelyn came across Gracelight. What caught her attention was how close it was to home and the strong benefits offered. But it wasn’t until the interview that she knew it was the right place. “They were really kind. It felt different in a good way,” she shared. Despite receiving other offers, she chose Gracelight because the interview left a lasting impression.
Since joining the team, Evelyn has noticed there are a few things to improve, like with any workplace. But what stands out to her is the open communication and the sense that everyone is working toward the same goal. She is hopeful about her future here and is eager to grow her skills, especially in lab work and pediatrics.
Outside of work, Evelyn enjoys shopping, especially for shoes and handbags. At the clinic, her focus is on patients and being part of a team that shows up for one another. When asked what she values most about Gracelight, her answer was clear: “We have compassion for our patients. The clinic is clean and organized. And everyone is helpful and welcoming.” Evelyn may be new to the team, but her presence already reflects the kind of care and commitment that Gracelight stands for.
