Alejandro Ordaz: From Campus to Care, A Journey Supported

Graduating from Cal State LA with a degree in Computer Information Systems is a major moment for Alejandro Ordaz. As a first-generation college student born and raised in Los Angeles, it’s a proud step forward for both him and his family. Through the years of studying, commuting, and planning for his future, one thing he could always count on was his care at Gracelight Community Health.

Alejandro first came to the East 3rd Street clinic about ten years ago when a change in insurance led his family to search for affordable and accessible care. Since then, Gracelight has become their go-to place for support.

“The doctors are always attentive and the staff feels real,” Alejandro shares. “They’re not just here to clock in. You can tell they care.”

He’s been seeing Dr. Moe as his provider and says that the care he receives has always felt consistent and helpful. With a busy schedule as a college student, having a clinic that’s easy to get to made all the difference. “The train station is right in front of the clinic,” he explains. “That made it easier for me and my family to get here, even when we didn’t have a car.”

The clinic’s clean environment and welcoming energy have made an impression on Alejandro. Whether it was a routine checkup or follow-up visit, he always felt comfortable walking through the doors.

Now that he has graduated, Alejandro is focused on finding his first job in tech. As he steps into this new chapter, he’s thankful for places like Gracelight that supported him and his family through it all.

“Gracelight has been a constant in my life,” he says. “It’s helped me stay on track with my health while I worked toward my goals.”
