OPEN HOUSE: Gracelight Community Health is opening a NEW location in Westlake!

REASONS TO CELEBRATE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Gracelight Community Health and Senator María Elena Durazo Partner to Celebrate Soon to Open Community Health Center and Award from American Heart Association with Community Open House on Dec. 13

Los Angeles, Dec. 2, 2019 – Gracelight Community Health (QHC) is one of Los Angeles’ leading nonprofit community health centers and has many reasons to celebrate this holiday season with the announcement of a new community health center opening in early 2020 and receiving an award from the American Heart Association. QHC is celebrating these milestones with a community open house and award presentation on Dec. 13th. The open house is being hosted with State Senator María Elena Durazo and will be a chance for the community to tour and learn about the new healthcare services being offered and will feature an open juice bar, healthy snacks from Amazebowls, booths from a number of community resource partners, and music by Late Night Laggers.

“We were fortunate to be able to fund such a wonderful space and expand our healthcare offerings for the central LA community. This location will help us continue to make a difference in the lives of many Angelinos,” said Eloisa Perard, President of Gracelight Community Health. The Westlake North Health Center is a much larger facility with more than 7,000 sq. ft and 11 exam rooms and will offer primary care, on-site laboratory services, health plan enrollment and health education services to both adult and pediatric patients. The new Westlake North Health Center is scheduled to open early next year and will replace the existing 2,500 sq. ft Bresee Health Center located in Rampart Village within the Bresee Foundation Youth Center. The Bresee Health Center served only pediatric patients and lacked many of the medical treatment and laboratory services that will be available at the new Westlake North facility.

During the open house Gracelight Community Health will also be receiving a Gold Achievement Award from the Target BP Program of the American Heart Association and American Medical Association for controlling high blood pressure in over 70% of their adult patient population. The teams at Gracelight Community Health work with patients to achieve individual health goals such as lowered blood pressure and also help to connect the uninsured with health coverage. “Our staff is committed to ensuring patients get the care and education they need to reach major health milestones. We’re honored to be selected for this award,” said Perard.

The community open house will be happening on Friday Dec. 13, from 2-5pm at the new Gracelight Community Health Westlake North facility, located at 303 South Loma Drive, #202, Los Angeles, CA 90017.
